This book chronicles fourteen design or art projects about what I understand about data. Most of them collect data through different media and organize and organize archived records; Some are data visualizations, how to express intangible information with tangible images. At the same time, there is a small percentage that may not be considered data in the traditional sense. They break down our understanding of traditional data and push the boundaries of data telling. In the design part of the book, I experimented with dynamic indexing that can follow the reader into different stories through movable pages and arrows on the first page of each story. At the same time, I built my own template database before the story, treating each template as a piece of data to serve the design. In my opinion, each data point represents a unique individual who contributes to the collective narrative, whether it's an object, time, space, or a creature. How to retain the individual story, and at the same time stack it together to get a more convincing and powerful narrative, and how to maximize the relational narrative ability of the data itself, is the focus of my dissertation.
